Carpet Spill & Spots Removal

Sometimes when spills/spots come back, it’s not an old reappearing spill/spot, but a new one that has attached to leftover cleaning residue. Steam cleaners and store-bought carpet cleaning machines use heavy cleaning products filled with chemicals and soap. When using these methods and products, they leave behind a sticky residue that attracts dirt and dust to your carpet. This is where Green Team can help! If you called a steam cleaner to remove your carpets spills/spots, they probably made it worse. Steam cleaners use a high amount of water to push spills/spots, dirt, etc. deep into the carpet, making them “disappear.” But, their machine doesn't remove the excess water from your carpets. So, the spills/spots, dirt, and the water get trapped in your carpet. As your carpet fibers start to dry, the spills/spots that were not removed gradually moves up the fibers. This is called "wicking" and the spill/spot  reappear on the carpet’s surface.

The crystals stay trapped beneath the carpet, padding, and sub floor, and will continue to release unpleasant odors/toxins for up to 10 years into your home unless properly removed.
